The written word isn't a natural medium for us photographers but luckily a blog isn't real writing...

Last time I was writing here it was summer but you wouldn't have known it from the weather... and now it's autumn and, well the weather's the same! Not just that but the economic news is somewhat depressing or seems to be.

But maybe for you people in the jewellery world the idea of investing money in something tangible, to say nothing of beautiful, could pull business your way. It's certainly a nice idea that when there's a financial crisis on people start squirelling away their money and valuables under the bed. In this world of globalisation and domino-effect crises it's nice to think that there's still a place for a dusty nest egg!

Talking of eggs ... Jemima Puddleduck's charity egg hunt in support of Water Aid is still under way at The World if Beatrix Potter Attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere with the glorious prize of the golden egg shown below. Check it out if you're visting the Lakes over the half-term break.
