Brighton designer and jewellery retailer Jon Boston found that the Lake District, Cumbria was a winning location when he needed high quality photographs for his denisonboston jewellery range.

Following initial telephone contact and discussion Brighton's contemporary jewellery designer and retailer denisonboston chose Photography by Ward to represent the entire commercial photography profession (no pressure then!) when quality images were needed. Having previously taken their own photos the company was keen to explore moving to the next level in displaying their mens' jewellery accessories. Apart from the website marketing need for photography they wanted to enter for the 2008 Gift of the Year awards and needed high level images to represent the quality of their designs and to keep up with their winning streak as previous winners of the awards.

Photography by Ward would like to congratulate Denisonboston on their success in the 2008 UK Fashion Export Awards. We have just learned that Denisonboston have scooped the winner in the Men's Accessories category which was presented by HRH The Princess Royal at the Landmark Hotel in London on  5 June 2008.

So undertaking what was seen as an initial experiment to see what could be achieved by a professional photographer with specialist expertise Jon Boston dispatched a selection of men's jewellery for Dave Ward's photographic attention. Items included watches, cuff links, tie slides, lapel pins and collar stays.

An initial creative brief and budget having been arrived at, Dave set about creating an initial studio set up and took some preliminary photographs for Jon to review.

Using an e-gallery to allow the client to give feedback the brief was refined and further progress images were posted along the way, moving ever closer to the perfect shots. Using technology to work closely together (although in reality the country's length separated them) client and photographer arrived at a set of jewellery pictures which completely satisfied the client's brief.

Final post-image work was undertaken to ensure images of the highest quality were arrived at and burned onto CD. Both CD and jewellery were dispatched back to a very happy client.
